Cruise FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a cruise cost?

Cruise pricing can vary widely depending on the cruise line, specific cruise ship, cruise duration, sailing date, and several other factors. As a general rule, you "might" be within range of a reasonable estimate if you start with $150 per person per day of a cruise.  This means for a 7-day cruise, you might estimate $1,050 per person, not including any necessary airfare, hotel, or other add-ons. And yes, this estimate is often higher or lower. Cruise pricing is a great value considering everything that is included in your cruise.

What is included in the price of a cruise?

Your cruise will generally include sleeping accommodations on the cruise ship, standard meals & snacks, and most onboard entertainment. While these things are usually included in the price of your cruise, you will also have access to optional add-ons such as specialty dining & snacks, adult beverages, and many premium services such as the spa, casino, and select entertainment options.

How far in advance should I book a cruise?

The majority of cruise ship space is usually booked 6 to 8 months before a particular sailing, so it's best to book as far in advance as possible. Early booking allows you the best selection of rooms and generally better pricing. Some people book their cruises over a year in advance, while many people book just weeks or days before departure to grab any remaining staterooms and look for last-minute cruise deals.

Does Epix Cruise and Travel Charge a service fee?

No, we do not charge a fee. Our revenue comes from commissions paid to us from our affiliate partner Cruise Direct.

Why should I use Epix Cruise and Travel instead of a travel agency or cruise line?

Epix Cruise and Travel streamlines the cruise booking process by allowing cruisers to self-book. We connect you to a wide selection of cruise lines and destinations and competitive pricing. We provide an easy way for you to compare different cruise lines and ships. All of this, without paying service fees, without long call center hold times, and without being locked into a single cruise line option.

What are my options for cruise destinations?

Roughly 80% of our clients select the Caribbean and Bahamas region as their cruise destinations. But you can also book a cruise to Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, or Mexico.

Does Epix Cruise and Travel book airfare or hotels?

We do not book airfare, hotels, or rental cars. If you need any of these options for your cruise, you would book them on your own, as you would book any other airline, hotel, or rental car.
