Epix Cruise and Travel Expands Group Cruise Services to New Special Interest Markets

Health & Wellness Group Cruise 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Diego, Calif. — Epix Cruise and Travel is expanding its group cruise business to serve a broader range of travelers, returning to its roots in leisure and group vacation planning while continuing to serve companies seeking cruise-based corporate events and retreats.

The expansion comes as the cruise industry continues to grow. Global ocean cruise passenger volume reached a record 37.2 million in 2025, up 7.5% from 2024, while industry forecasts call for more than 38 million passengers globally in 2026. Cruise lines are also investing heavily in new ships and destination experiences, giving travelers more group cruise packages to choose from.

Founded in 2009 as a Cruise Holidays franchise, Epix initially focused on individual travel before expanding into cruise groups, including family reunion cruises, social groups, yoga and fitness groups, and other organized groups. The company later shifted its primary focus to corporate groups, helping businesses plan offsites, employee incentive trips, sales events and leadership retreats - all on cruise ships.

Epix is now broadening its group travel focus again, making its services available to both businesses and people who want to travel together for fun.

“I've enjoyed both sides of the business,” said Aubrey Williams, founder of Epix Cruise and Travel. “I like leveraging my corporate background to help companies create meaningful offsites and corporate events, but I found that I was mostly engaged in business conversations instead of talking to people about the enjoyment of cruising. It felt like I was moving too far from my true passion.”

Williams said the decision reflects a desire to return to helping people plan memorable group vacations on a personal level while maintaining Epix's ability to serve corporate clients.

“There's something different about helping a family, a group of friends, a reunion, a club or another group plan a vacation together,” Williams said. “They're getting together because they want to have a great experience, spend time together and make memories. I wanted Epix to be able to do more of that again.”

The expanded group cruise business will serve family and extended-family groups, family reunions, friends and social groups, school and alumni reunions, clubs and organizations, yoga and fitness groups, and other groups planning vacations together. Corporate groups will remain an important part of the business.

This is all happening as cruise lines continue to broaden the cruise vacation experience. Cruise lines are investing in new ships while developing private islands, beach clubs and other exclusive destinations designed to give travelers more choices both onboard and ashore.

“Cruising has changed considerably since I started the business in 2009,” Williams said. “There are more ships, more destinations, more types of experiences and more ways for people to cruise. I think that creates exciting opportunities for Epix and for the groups we serve.”

Epix Cruise and Travel helps groups evaluate cruise lines, ships, itineraries, stateroom options, group rates and other considerations involved in planning and booking a group cruise.
